Contenders
My beautiful people, did
you leave a comment or visit other posts? Please do, it really means a lot. To today’s
business, while writing this post I was on 3 different arguments on the beef in
the music industry concerning Cardi and Nicki. The part that struck my interest
is this line someone said:
“Women live for beef. It
would be the end of the world if women start pulling each other up”. This is
the option of a man and what he thinks about these women. With the Grammy’s
behind us and our entire favorite artist taking home the coveted award of their
careers I feel it’s necessary to talk about the top female rap beef between
Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.
I’m not going to state
why I love one artist all the other but damn the comparisons to getting way too
much and way out of hand. I have albums of both artists, maybe more of Nicki
than Cardi considering the longer years Nicki has been dropping songs but for
real though, why push hate between two females that are making history for the
culture and for the gender.
In every industry people
put two top dogs together, who’s the better player? Who’s the better sing? Who’s
the better fighter? Sometimes these comparisons push the artists or performer
to do better to push themselves to a greater limit but I don’t see the point
knowing who’s better and we shouldn’t.
Cardi has broken he
history of being the first female to win a rap album of the year with ‘invasion
of privacy’ she’s a mother, a woman who came from the bottom and has been
through life’s struggles and is now breaking the banks with her music.
Nicki Minaj is almost the
same, though she’s not a mother she has done made history repeatedly, and we
can all say she is brig in big cash flow.
Why the beef though? Yes
there has been heat between both artists over the past year but they have also
been greatly fueled by the online trolls of both parties trying to fuel the hate
and push for more drama and entertainment.
In an industry, rap
industry, I feel that these two women are to be celebrated together now to be
put head to head. Winning a Grammy doesn’t mean an artist isn’t good or doesn’t
put out songs that people don’t want to listen to, Grammy or no Grammy these
two women are icons and are dominating in a world where the males are seen only
as to dogs (sorry to my kings). We women ought to look after our own not to
push hate between them.
On that note the point I
am attempting to drive at is that women wherever you are, media, music, film,
cooperate offices and others, pull your sisters up no matter what. We need to
show the world of the different side of women. We women shouldn’t be known for
loving drama, loving the beef, loving the hate on other women. It baffles me to
see that some men perceive us to hate on each other than anything else. I hope
this move to promote more love between women.
Drop a comment, excited
to read them.
