TUESDAYS 10AM
Hi diary,
So good to be here once again. Saw my brother reading
this week as if his life depends on it. Guy nearly turned me to a chef as I
have to cook to make up for the sapping calories. This took me back to my
undergraduate days.
Our educational system especially is well below standard as
it should be when compared to other nations of the world. Lecturers give out
massive materials which you have to read and understand on your own.
Some of
them that has made it to the lecture theatre will present theories they don’t
understand themselves. All we need to do as students is to dance to the tune;
read to pass.
This is one of the reasons we have unemployable graduates these
days. I remember cramming about forty species of insects and their botanical
nomenclature in a course titled ‘Entomology’
even without seeing the insects for once. It was during this period I knew the
human brain cannot be full like a memory card.
Many things has to be
fixed to be up there again. Our universities produced great men in the past who
have contributed immensely to our society when the administration and system
was adjudged fair.
Let all parties involved (especially the governing bodies)
go back to the drawing board and save our dying educational system.
Diary,
remind me to ask for my brother’s CGPA. All these food must produce a strong
point. See you again guys.
