Dear diary,

I’ve got an interesting poem to chastise you if you dare to raise

 your shoulders. It is titled ‘’The Proud’’. It goes thus:

         The peahen asked the peacock ‘’why display and fan out 

your beautiful feathers dear?’’

         He replied ‘’I am the king of the birds, in my majesty none I

 fear’’

         Tornado came,

         They scampered but the eagle laughed because they had no 

gear.

         A fisherman boasts ‘’even if the body of water is small as an 

oasis,

         Peter and his friends might have caught a great deal,

         To me it is merely basics’’

         He went to the sea and casts his net

         Behold! Shark devoured him and remora fed on his remains.

         ‘’I own an estate, garage and fed a nation’’

         He told his barber and asked if he could charge his phone

         ‘’you must have supplied power to the continents’’

         The barber replied in a low tone.

         Do not exalt yourself in the king’s presence,

         Do not claim a place among great men

         Proverbs said, it hit my bone.

         Boast not of tomorrow,

         For you don’t know what a day brings

         Instead give thanks to the creator for today and sing

         Let another man praise you, not your own mouth;

         A stranger and not your own lip

         He loves the humble but detest the pride,

         The cast out loves to give the proud a sound whip.
