TUESDAYS 7PM
AN INTERESTING TIME OUT WITH SAMUEL
And again, I have met another Samuel. Hmm, Lord is this a
sign? Before they will start rushing me
o.
Okay, so recently I had the opportunity of working with this
young man on a script conference and he was not such a bad company. Then
getting to chat more with him, I felt you should share in the experience I had
so, enjoy this.
Meanwhile, I am still waiting for a woman to break the
lineup of manly interviews. If you are a female in the entertainment industry,
hit me up. I want to hear and share your story too.
Sandra T. Adeyeye: How would you like to be introduced?
Samuel: Samuel Adeyemi, Revolutionary Speaker, Film maker,
Actor and Bible Teacher. I am contesting as a councilor in Dutse Ward 7 under
ANRP.
Sandra T. Adeyeye: Great. Did you study theatre arts?
Samuel: No, I studied human anatomy. Though while I was
growing up, I wished to act in movies but my background was this "book
worm" family. I fell into science class because I was academically
brilliant. I wanted to become plus (even my dad) wanted me to become a medical
doctor but was offered admission to study human anatomy.
Sandra T. Adeyeye: How long have you been practicing?
Samuel: I began theatre practice on campus in my 100 level,
that’s 2009. Abi is it not long? Lol. (Though I’m not in full time for now).
From then, I have attended various filmmaking schools and seminars and have
read lots of theatre books so when I converse with one who studied theatre art,
you can hardly know that I never studied theatre arts.
Sandra T. Adeyeye: Do you do stage or screen productions?
Samuel: Samuel: I do both stage and screen productions.
Sandra T. Adeyeye: What's the difference and their
challenges?
The difference is in the acting. Film restricts me but stage
gives me freedom to bring out the best. I love stage acting when it's a great
concept with set designs, proper stage management, lights etc.
Sandra T. Adeyeye: If you could go back in time, is there
anything you would do differently? (Do you regret being a thespian and would
you change it if you could?)
Samuel: ???
Sandra T. Adeyeye: Okay. Now for the quick questions. Only
short replies are required. What's your favorite play text?
Samuel: ???
Sandra T. Adeyeye: Who's your favorite playwright?
Samuel: ???
Sandra T. Adeyeye: Who's your favorite actor, director,
dop/lightsman, costumier and set designer?
Samuel: Favorite actor is Oreofe Williams popularly known as
Awo Jesu in the southwest Nigeria, DoP is Ben Ope Johnson who shot THE
JOHNSONS. Comedian, well I love BOVI because of his looks (eyes). He looks
funny. Favorite movie is 10 days in Sun City (maybe, it's because I just
watched it few days ago...lol).
Sandra T. Adeyeye: Are you a member of any body governing
performance in Nigeria?
Samuel: Member of body governing? Okay, I just joined NANTAP
not too long. I am called into DRAMA MINISTRY, faith based and meaningful film
productions with few short films to my credit. We are working on a feature film
soonest.
Sandra T. Adeyeye: How will you like to be remembered?
Samuel: I would like to be remembered with these: The great
actor and revolutionary Speaker who made impact in the lives of people;
especially the youths and teenagers through film making and public
speaking.
Sandra T. Adeyeye: And your last words to NiWco readers.
Samuel: You guys are doing a good job. Kindly search for
more raw talents who are seeking for means to impact through writing and
acting.
Sandra T. Adeyeye: Thank you for your time.
