ORGAN OF PHILANDERING

 Hi diary,
I could have used ‘Organ of Flirting’ as the headline if not for Nollywood’s actor; Bolanle Ninalowo who mentioned ‘Philandering’ severally in the movie ‘Picture Perfect’. This synonym for flirting therefore became my choice. It is well known that married men, women, single guys and ladies flirts. Well, you could argue there are higher percentages in sexes or ages but that is not the purpose of this writing but the initial organ in philandering which is the eyes.
The eye is the organ of sight which majors on philandering when it comes to relationships. The eye is a complex optical system which collects lights from the environment and through assembly of lenses which forms images. These images are converted into a set of electrical signals and then transmitted to the brain. Like other sense organs (ear, nose, skin, tongue), the eye and brain works pari passu. The eye is of high importance when they say ‘love at first sight’ or ‘lust at first sight’. We are attracted to someone through their color, shape, size, facial look etc even though attitude, charisma and so on can come into play in attractiveness. We are attracted to appearance as a result of images formed in our eyes which is then transmitted to the brain that processes it in our minds. Your mind determines if you are in love or in lust with someone your eyes are sexually attracted to. It is often said that ‘men are moved by sight while the opposite sex are moved by hearing’. These days, women are merely moved by what they hear but what they see for you to know how powerful the organ of philandering is. They are moved by finer things and papers called currencies.
The organ of philandering is powerful, no wonder moralists warn against pornography and other sexual explicit videos. We all know the eye is the organ of philandering. It was even recorded in the Holy Bible ‘if your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it’. Huh! You are saying preacher man is asking you to pluck your eyes, NO! I just want you to see the cause of our (men) sexual appetite. Well, readers it’s left for you to decide how to deal with your eyes for your own good. As for me, my eyes shall not see evil. It’s been an engaging day; I thank God for the gift of sight. See you again dear diary, love you unintentionally.
