There Exists A
Greater Cause
There exists a greater cause
Which cooks strength in cripples' feet.
Indeed such cause does exist:
Buried and sealed in us.
There exists a greater cause;
Though mortals seek for lint
To lick their wrestling tint;
Only sightly does it pause.
There lived a greater cause
Witnessed by the silent sand,
Wept for by the trivial land:
Six struck behind the cross.
There exists a greater cause!
Buried and sealed in us.
