DO YOU LOVE GREY?
PART 2 SERIES 6
But as the wife I was also part of the pain.
I finished my midwifery before I gave birth to Tope.
But I was not allowed to work again afterwards,
I had to take care of the kids – we had a business centre
He told me to manage the business
I didn't know much about business but for three years, we
survived with its proceeds
while he sourced for government contracts
All those years , baby mama fights still went on.
By the time I was pregnant with my third child, our home
was a shadow of once upon a time happiness
It became three days of peace and four days of quarrel
weekly.
My husband refused to turn up in church for my child's church dedication. I stood alone in a congregation of many like a single mother...

I did my best, prayed and fasted and things changed but
still the relapse was worse
The final hit dropped when fraudsters used our business
centre to dupe an individual. It was one disaster after the other.
Some banks holding my husband’s investments and savings
folded too.
Ask the elderly ones about ‘Savannah Bank’.
Our saving grace was just the bungalow we built in a remote
village.
We could no longer afford Lagos life so we moved there.
We wanted to start afresh, but did we really?
No! we couldn’t leave the past in the past
Now we’ve been blessed with three lovely children
My husband is jobless, we only have our business name.
A company seeking small contracts from the government
At a point I heard
rumors that my husband said -
I will suffer more in our new location. Did I?
LIFE SURE HAS ITS OWN SORT OF SURPRISES; TILL NEXT EPISODE I WILL TELL YOU IF INDEED I SUFFERED MORE, AT LEAST YOU BE THE JUDGE...
