TUESDAYS 10AM
Dear diary,
I can see you are all
smiles as I engage you once again. My reflection this week is triggered by a
visit to my farm. I see you are grinning that Muhammadu Buhari has finally sent
the lazy youth to the farm. Count me out, ‘lazy’ cannot be found in my
encyclopedia. On a supervisory visit, I met some of the workers wrapping their
so called ‘menu’. I asked why they have to smoke before doing my job. One of
the guys replied ‘’haven’t you heard about the science students? Be rest
assured, we will do a perfect job’’.
I’m a science student even though their opinion
about science student is totally different from mine. In my inspection, I met
another group weeding the yam farm. Five boys have already bent down
low to take life out of the unwanted plants. At the end of the day, those boys
that took their menu had worked like machine (saves time and energy) and have
done a thorough job while the others that started earlier were still toiling. "Those boys mixed tramadol and codeine" one of the boys sound the alarm when
I said they were as slow as the current government.
Youths have become drug
addicts which has hazardous side effects. These drugs are gradually becoming
legal since severe actions has not been taken against them. No wonder crime
rate is as high as Sodom and Gomorrah. These drugs enter through our border
despite the said ban on these products. For us to have a sane society that can
boast of able youth clamoring for ‘Not
too young to run’ then we have to join hands to stop drug abuse.
Science
students may rock in relaxation centers and on your playlist but guys please
SAY NO TO DRUGS. Our lives shouldn’t be determined by drugs. Let stay out of
hard drugs that can hamper our greatness in life. Diary, let them know no one
is as high as the almighty no matter their intake. Till next time, love you
diary and please doing drugs is not an option. Stay blessed!!!
