THE WOMAN WITH NO NAME

The woman with no name ---- works and toils all day long

Neglected, forgotten, unacknowledged – faded garments: her wears

No way, No Hope, love lost and alone but never lonely

The woman with no name ---- works so hard, yet gains so little

No time for shame or shy, of course ends must meet

Going home with enough to feed herself and hers is necessary as breathing

No one sees her! She ain’t no fool but still is a tool…

To climb the ladder of success, her toils and sweats manipulated

The woman with no name is harder than them all, to live each day

She does all but lie, cheat or steal, her virtue shines in her eyes

No one to cling to but still her chin is raised high and shoulders straight

Such certainty, confidence, such humility in her pride

The woman with no name may never be known or acknowledged

But I bet you on her foundation, the wealth of many was born.
